About the Trustees
The role of the DeMolay Foundation Board of Trustees is to direct, manage, control, and conduct the business and affairs of the Foundation. This 9 person voting board of trustees includes eight Senior DeMolays, six Past State Master Councilors, a Past Grand Master, two Past International Master Councilors, and two past International DeMolays of the Year. Professionally, the board consists of a retired Judge, three Attorneys, a retired Fortune 500 Financial Executive, a nationally recognized Large Business Owner, a Small Business Owner, a retired State Government executive, a Bank Executive, a Nonprofit Executive and a retired Fraternal Executive.
Our Trustees
James C. McGee, Foundation President

Jim served as Alabama State Master Councilor in 1979, receiving his Chevalier in 1982. He served on advisory councils, earning his Cross of Honor and Legion of Honor. He has served the ISC since 1994, and was Alabama Executive Officer for 18 years. Jim was DeMolay’s Grand Master in 1999-2000, and also has served as Grand Treasurer.
Jim’s Masonic experiences began in 1982 with Florence Lodge #14, serving as Worshipful Master 2005-2005. He also served as Master for Greeno Lodge #598 in Alabama. He served on numerous Grand Lodge committees and offices. Jim was the Most Execellence Grand HIgh Priest of Alabama Royal Arch Masons in 2010, and Most Illustrious Grand Master of the Grand Council Royal & Select Masters of Alabama in 2015. He has served with distinction several other Masonic bodies, inlcuding the York Rite and Scottish Rite. He was Rainbow State Dad 2016-2017. This is Jim’s second series of DeMolay Foundation terms.
Jim served with the U.S. Marines for six years. His work involves retirement benefit services.

Richard Lynn, Vice President

M∴W∴ Richard E. Lynn was born is Coral Gables, Florida. He was the youngest of three children, which included a brother and sister.
M∴W∴ Lynn received his formal education in South Florida. Upon completion of his studies, he immediately joined Catering by David Lynn, a family business, which was started by his parents. Through the years, his hard work earned him the respect of his family, and the Presidency of the Company. In addition to maintaining the honor and integrity upon which the business was built, M∴W∴ Lynn’s company had been successful in achieving the recognition as one of the finest and most prestigious catering companies in Florida.
M∴W∴ Lynn’s Masonic career started with his initiation into Biscayne Bay Lodge No. 124 on September 25, 1973. His love for the Fraternity grew very rapidly and before reaching the 3rd Degree, he was aleady teaching catechism to the Brethren of his Lodge. On January 4, 1974, he was Raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason. M∴W∴ Lynn started though the chairs as Tyler, progessing on through to the elected positions, and finally was installed Worshipful Master of the Lodge in January, 1982.

Louis (Kerry) Campbell, Secretary
Fincastle, VA
Louis K. "Kerry" Campbell began his DeMolay career over 50 years ago, joining Roanoke Valley, Virginia, chapter in the fall of 1965. A Past Master Councilor, he achieved the Representative DeMolay award and was honored by selection as a Chevalier.
He has served as a DeMolay advisor since 1971 and a chapter dad of either Roanoke Valley or Hanging Rock Chapter for approximately 30 of those years.
He has served on the Executive Officer’s staff for many years as a regional deputy and a state awards advisor. He is a recipient of the Legion of Honor and has been chosen Advisor of the Year and honored with the Virginia Lifetime Achievement Award. The Virginia DeMolay Foundation conferred on him the Odie R. Howell leadership award. He has served on Supreme Council for 20 years
A forty-five year Mason, he is a two-time Master of his lodge, Past District Deputy Grand Master, and was honored by election in November of 2012 to serve as Grand Master of Masons in Virginia, promoting a theme that year of "Masonry’s Youth – Masonry’s Future." In 2018 he was honored with the Grand Lodge of Virginia’s George Washington Distinguished Service Award.
The holder of two degrees from the College of William and Mary, he engaged in the general practice of law in his hometown of Fincastle and is retired after a 24-year career as a state trial court judge.
His wife Marsha has also served as a DeMolay advisor and Son, Alex, is a senior DeMolay and Master Mason.
Stephen Doan, Trustee
Southern California
R. Stephen Doan is a Past Jurisdiction Master Councilor of Southern California DeMolay and an Active Member of the DeMolay Supreme Council. He served as Grand Master of Masons in California in 1992 – 1993. He served as Grand Sovereign of the Red Cross of Constantine and is its current Grand Recorder. In the community, Steve served as the Chairman of the Board of the Midnight Mission in Los Angeles for thirty years and the President or Board Chair of the Youth Fund of Southern California since 1988. Steve received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UCLA in 1971, graduating summa cum laude, with highest department honors. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the UCLA School of Law in 1974.
Allan E. Iding, Trustee
Wauwatosa, WI
Allan E. Iding joined DeMolay in 1954, was a Master Councilor of his chapter in 1956 and State Master Councilor of Wisconsin in 1957-58. He is a Chevalier and Legion of Honor and has been a Chapter Advisor and member of the International Supreme Council (Honorary, Active and Emeritus) since 1974.
He was Executive Officer in Wisconsin from 2011-2014, when the jurisdictions net membership increased 50%. Al has been a Director and President of the United Masonic Board for DeMolay in Wisconsin, Inc. He has been a Director of the Wisconsin DeMolay Foundation for many years and has served as its President since 1985.
Al graduated from Marquette University College of Business Administration in 1961 and Marquette University Law School in 1963. He was a law clerk on the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals for a year and then joined the law firm which is today Husch & Blackwell, where he became a partner. His specialty was trusts and estates law. He was recognized as a “Super-lawyer” by Milwaukee Magazine and as one of the “Best Lawyers in America.” He has been listed in Who’s Who in America and several other Whose Who publications. Al retired from the law practice in 2006.
He is a Past Master of James M. Hays Lodge No. 331 and Silas H. Shepherd Lodge of Research No. 1843. He edited the 2-volume 800 page book “Forward Freemasonry” and is a York and Scottish Rite Mason.
Al holds the 33rd Degree in the Scottish Rite and served as Commander in Chief of the Consistory and for many years as a Trustee of the Valley of Milwaukee and as President of the Wisconsin Scottish Rite Foundation. He holds the Purple Cross of the York Rite College.
Al Iding was Grand Master of Masons in Wisconsin in 1981-82, and has served as a Grand Lodge Trustee and as a Director and President of the Wisconsin Masonic Foundation, as President of the Wisconsin Masonic Benevolent Activities Board and as a Director and Chairman of the Board of the Wisconsin Masonic Home, Inc. He was awarded the Grand Master’s Meritorious Service Award.
Fred Baerenz, Trustee
Great Falls, VA
Fred is the President and Chief Executive Officer of AOG Wealth Management, a Registered Investment Advisory firm located in Great Falls, Virginia. He is also a Registered Principle and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary. He is a frequent speaker at industry meetings, and is a co-author of the book Being in Business is a Funny Thing – Getting Out Is Not. AOG Wealth Management serves more than 300 clients and manages or advises on more than $400 Million in assets. Fred completed his undergraduate work at The College of William and Mary with an Interdisciplinary major in government, history, and economics.
He served as State Master Councilor of Virginia in 1981 and the 15thInternational Master Councilor. He is the Chairman of the Advisory Council for Herndon DeMolay Chapter, and is the Junior Deacon of Herndon Lodge #264 AF & AM. During his tenure as President, the Virginia DeMolay Foundation raised more than $2M to support Virginia DeMolay operations.

Johnny D. Onkst and his wife, Yvette, have been part of a community for 21 years and they have one child, Gunner, 18 years old.
Past Grand Master Brother Onkst is the son of Jim and Margie Onkst of Del City his father is a Past Grand Master and his mother is the Grand Secretary of General Grand Chapter order of Eastern Star. Johnny is employed by BOK Financial as Senior Vice President, Director of Corporate Real Estate Division. He retired as a Regional Vice President of United Technologies Inc. where he received the Outstanding Achievement award for his Continued Excellence and Achievement in 2002. He is listed in Outstanding Young Men of America and as Who’s Who among Business Leaders 2004.
Johnny is Past President of the International Facility Manager Association of North America in 2015-16. Past Regional President of Building Owners of Southwest Region in 2016 and was elected President of the Building Owners Association of United States of America in 2017.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma in Finance/Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University and currently writing a thesis on a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from the University of Oklahoma. He is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a Certified Elevator Inspector, Certified Facility Management Professional, and License in Real Property Administration.
Most Worshipful Onkst is a Life member of Jenks Masonic Lodge #497, Nicoma Park Lodge #541, Del City Lodge #536, Norman Lodge #38, Sand Springs Lodge #475, and Bartlesville Lodge #284 Johnny served as Worshipful Master of Jenks Lodge in 1996, Secretary in 1997, and Trustee in 2004. He is a Past District #13 President. He has served the Grand Lodge on the Youth Committee in 1990 and 1991; the Public Relations Committee in 1992; the Public Schools Committee in 1993; the Mets Committee in 1996; the District Deputy Grand Master in 2001 and 2002 of District 13; and Grand Orator 2004. Brother Onkst was elected Junior Grand Warden in 2004. Senior Grand Warden in 2005, Deputy Grand Master in 2006 and Elected Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of AF & AM of the State of Oklahoma November 12, 2007. He is a member of the Guthrie and Tulsa Scottish Rite Valleys, serving as the Assistant Director of the 12 and the Director of the KCCH Investiture Team. He is a Charter member of the Capitol Hill Chapter, Council and Commandery, and Life Member of India Shrine Temple. He is also a member of the Red Cross of Constantine, the Royal Order of Scotland, Charter Member of Order of White Buffalo, and Tall Cedars of Lebanon. Johnny was chosen as Chairman of the North America Grand Master Conference for 2008.
In DeMolay he is Past Master Councilor of Del City Chapter and Past Dean of the Legion of Honor in Tulsa, a Chevalier (Past Grand Commander), Past International Congress Advisor for the 33rd and 34th International DeMolay Congress. Johnny is a Past State Master Councilor of Oklahoma in 1985 and was the 19th International Congress Secretary. Johnny has been very active with Order of DeMolay in Oklahoma where he served as Chapter Dad of Delta Chapter and won Chapter of the year in 1995. He also holds the Zerubbabel Key and Guild of the Leather Distinction. Charter Member and Past President of the Oklahoma City Alumni Chapter. In Oklahoma DeMolay, he has served over 30 years as Director of Chapter Development, Field Representative, Director of Membership, Director of Finance, and Secretary of the Oklahoma DeMolay Trust. Johnny is Active Member of the International Supreme Council and served as Chairman of Congress, Education, Leadership Training Conference and Policy and Purpose Committee. Johnny as served as a member of Nominating Committee, Insurance, Budget and Finance, Jewelry and Regalia, and Alumni Committee. Johnny has been attending Congress and ISC since 1983 when Reese L. Harrison was Grand Master.
Dad Onkst is on the DeMolay Foundation since 2017 and is a Past Treasurer and Past Vice President for helping support and fundraise for DeMolay International. In 2020 Johnny was elected President of the International DeMolay Foundation where he still serves as President.
Dad Onkst enjoys spending time with his son Gunner, playing golf and serves on boards of Junior Achievement, Special Olympics, and Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Oklahoma while looking forward to taking Gunner to University of Oklahoma Football Games.
In the community Johnny serves on several boards; Special Olympics, and the Board of Building Owners Management Association where he is an Instructor for the Building Owners Management Institute. He is currently Secretary of the International Facilities Management Association Board and has spent many years teaching and training the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Steven R. Covey as well as being active with his church of Asbury United Methodist Church in Tulsa.
GARY H. LUKOVICH
Michigan
Gary Lukovich is the Vice President of the Midwest region for the non-profit MedSend and is also serving as the President and CEO of Christian Matthew and Associates following his early retirement from the role of Corporate Vice President at State Farm Insurance.
Gary is a Lay & Eucharistic Minister and Standing Committee of the Diocese of the Episcopal Church.
Gary and his wife Susan are proud parents of three married daughters and grandparents to four wonderful grandchildren.
In the realm of DeMolay, Gary served as the 4th International Master Councilor, Past State Master Councilor of Michigan, and Past Master of Wolverine Lodge #484. He has also served as the State Dad Advisor of Michigan and, alongside his wife Susan, as Worthy Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, and as a member of the Rainbow Advisory Board.
In May of 2024, Grand Master Terry Peters and Jeff Brunson appointed Gary as the first President of the DeMolay Worldwide Alumni & Friends Association and in June 2024 elected as a Deputy of the International Supreme Council.
Gary has been recognized with numerous honors, including a Letter of Commendation from the International Supreme Council for attempting to save a human life, the Legion of Honor, Chevalier, Blue Honor Key, and being named Michigan’s Outstanding DeMolay.
